Evening Closing Manager

The Market in Plymouth seeks an individual to supervise operations of store while upholding customer service standards and adhering to all applicable health and safety regulations.  Evening Manager must be prepared and able to perform the duties inherent in other Team Member job descriptions.

Major Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assists store management in responsibility for the store
• Responds promptly to needs and concerns of customers and team members; including answering phone calls
• Sets tone for safe, positive environment for customers and staff
• Ensures company policies and standards are met at all times
• Effectively manages store operations, ensuring consistency and compliance
• Provides a strong leadership presence in store; Lead and assist all teams when needed (up to and including cleaning)
• Ensures all product displays are well stocked and pricing/ signage are correct at all times
• Strong focus on food safety and sanitation
• Hours are second shift until store close as well as weekends and holidays
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership

• Planning and Priority Setting: Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals.  Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail grocery
• Minimum 1 year’s supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to lead a team
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Must be an excellent organizer and problem solver with strong project management skills
• Possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence to both internal and external customers
• Current ServeSafe and Allergen Awareness Certificate preferred, will be required within 30 days of hire

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds; push/pull up to 100 pounds
• Work 8+ hour day: standing/walking 6-8 hours
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including deli slicers, box cutters, knives, hand trucks, six-wheel carts, conveyor belts and trash compactors, registers and scales
