Asst Team Leader - Butcher Shop

The Market is looking for a full time Assistant Team Leader to assist in the daily operations of the Butcher Department.

Candidates will be required to:
• Place orders, receive product and practice safe food handling
• Cut and prepare meat and specialty items
• Provide superior customer service including explanations of cooking techniques
• Create weekly staff schedules
• Train new staff
• Support Team Leader and Store Management with department operations including inventory
• Maintain health, sanitation and safety standards
• Have flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Perform additional duties as required by Management

Physical requirement of the position:
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Work in temperature controlled environment
• Bend and lift up to 50 pounds; push or pull carts up to 150 pounds
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching above shoulders
• Demonstrated ability to handle knives and cutting equipment
• Able to effectively communicate verbally and written

Candidates must have minimum of 2 years meat cutting/kitchen knife skills and management experience.  Benefits package available including vacation, health, dental and vision insurance.

Required experience:
• 2 years Butcher/Kitchen knife skills and Management experience or combination of both
